Dr Khader Hussain is a Board-Certified Thoracic Surgical Oncologist and serves as the Head of Oesophageal and Thoracic Services at Apollo Proton Cancer Centre, Chennai, India. He leads one of India’s largest thoracic surgery centres, specialising in the management of complex thoracic diseases for both local and international patients. His areas of expertise include radical pleurectomy, Hyperthermic Intrathoracic Chemotherapy (HITHOC), and MITS image-guided thoracic surgery. Dr Hussain also leads a dedicated minimally invasive thoracic surgery programme, performing approximately 250 VATS and robotic-assisted thoracic surgery (RATS) procedures annually.
